How Acupuncture and Chiropractic Care helps with Sleep

At Huang Wellness Center, we believe that good sleep is essential to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. That’s why we provide acupuncture and chiropractic services to help you get the rest your body needs, whether you’re suffering from chronic insomnia or simply need an occasional boost.

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years as a treatment for sleep disorders, and modern research continues to demonstrate its effectiveness in treating all kinds of sleep issues. When combined with chiropractic care, acupuncture can help you achieve deep relaxation and improve your overall health.
Chiropractic care is another effective way to treat chronic insomnia and other sleep disorders. Chiropractic adjustments have been shown to reduce stress levels by releasing serotonin in the brain—which helps improve moods—and by reducing inflammation throughout the body. In addition, chiropractics assists with muscle tension relief and promotes better blood flow throughout the body—two key elements for improving sleep quality.

How we can help improve your sleep

At Huang Wellness Center, we have a long history of helping patients sleep better.
Hormones like melatonin and others from the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis modulate the sleep–wake cycle while its dysfunction can disrupt sleep.
The hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis is a complex system of hormones that control your stress response. When you’re stressed, your body releases cortisol and other hormones that help you deal with that stressor. But when your body is in a constant state of stress, it can cause all sorts of problems—including trouble sleeping. That’s why it’s so important to find ways to relieve stress and regulate your HPA axis.
Acupuncture and chiropractic care are two great ways to do this because they both help to regulate the HPA axis by decreasing cortisol levels while increasing serotonin production.
We know that sometimes it can feel like you’re doing everything right—you’re exercising regularly, eating right, getting enough sleep—but still feeling totally exhausted and out of sorts. So we’ve created a list of common health conditions that acupuncture and chiropractic care can help with:
